STUDY TOUR TO CHINA
Planned Dates: 4th – 13th April 2009

Leader Jennie Clarke is an experienced MFL teacher who has organised school visits and exchanges for 15 years. As an Outreach Teacher for The Ashcombe Language College she now works with primary colleagues who are teaching MFL, and is involved in projects with a link primary school in Shanghai. She has been to China for the past three years and has visited Beijing, Shanghai and the surrounding area.

INTRODUCTION
China entered the twentieth century as an ancient empire, ruled by the Qing dynasty. It has emerged into the twenty-first as an industrially developed communist republic.
